Management’s CEO, Gina Iacovou contributions to the team are widely varied
and highly valued. Simply put,
Gina is the glue that holds the team together.
Whether it’s taking some time to help a fighter adjust to his
surroundings, sorting
out a difficult situation to keep our team running or just making sure
everyone stays focused and motivated, Gina is the person to see. Gina runs
the operational side of Sestus
Management, making sure the company is moving forward at all times.
In addition, her bookkeeping, advertising/marketing and audio/visual
skills have proven invaluable time again to the Sestus
family. Says Gina, “I love
my work. It’s as simple as
that, I go that extra mile to ensure success” A native
British Greek, Gina has been involved in the business environment her entire
life. Throughout her childhood she spent most of her spare time gaining knowledge in the day to day operation of her
parent’s businesses. Gina successfully graduated from Culinary College
specializing in French Cuisine, Wines, Communications & Media and Health
& Hygiene. Gina
gained 2 Distinctions and 5 Credits which was the highest grades that anyone
ever achieved in the college’s history; through this she gained membership
with the Royal Society of Health & Hygiene qualifying her to become a
Health & Hygiene Inspector. A few years later Gina changed her career
direction and entered the media industry working as an Advertising and Sales
Executive at a London Newspaper, The Guardian. Gina's key clients included,
Bank of England, Barclays Bank, Pizza Hut (East London division),
Highways Agency and Met. Police (East London division).

Gina was
first introduced to boxing, by Mike Michael, in 1998 whilst working in the
Mediterranean as General Manager for public relations for a for
multi-million dollar, Entertainment Organization, who own a Radio Station,
8 Night Clubs and the largest Themed Waterpark in Europe. She was
instrumental in establishing professional boxing in Cyprus; Gina was the
General Secretary of the Cypriot Professional Boxing Commission, which she
established in 1999; she later affiliated the Commission to the European
Boxing Union. Along with Mike Michael, Gina made history by bringing
Panix
Promotions (at the time was Lennox Lewis’ promoters) to Cyprus and
staged a successful event.
With
Gina’s goals set for bigger and better things she relocated to the USA
and thus the Sestus
legend begins.
