'La Cobrita - Rodolfo “Cobrita” Gomez is one of the new young 

bloods of the fight game, officially he has only registered ten Amateur 

fights in the US but has had another 45 Amateur fights in Mexico. 

A closer look into his boxing pedigree reveals that “Cobrita”, all of nineteen years of age, has been practicing and perfecting his craft 

for the past decade having had most of his fights in Mexico and the 

son of a former top rated lightweight title contender (Rodolfo 

“Cobra” Gomez) and the nephew of current welterweight and super welterweight contender Manuel “Shotgun” Gomez, Rodolfo has been groomed to carry his family’s fighting tradition as “Cobrita” has five other Gomez family members who were professional prize fighters.  Rodolfo has been hearing, watching, and learning about boxing since birth.

“Cobrita’s” physical attributes are impressive as this nineteen year old 147pound fighter stands 6’ 3” tall, can fight as comfortably 

from a southpaw stance as he can from an orthodox one, and has 

an impressive reach.  Because of his deep rooted family fighting tradition, Gomez has natural boxing instinct.  Add in the facts that 

he is articulate and fluent in both the Spanish and English Languages; it is easy to see the marketability potential of this 

young and strong Mexican- American warrior.
